How Green Am I?

Today, on Earth Day, I decided to take a look around me to see what (if anything)  I’m doing to help the envrironment.  First of all, I have started to be more mindful of ways that I can conserve energy in my household. For the past several months, we turn off all electronics and lights that don’t need to be used or plugged in at all.  I have also starting washing most clothes in cold water if possible. I checked my appliances to assure they had the “energy saver” stickers to assure that I am doing all that I can to save money and help the planet. Just recently I began to use more cloth towels in the kitchen as opposed to papertowels.

My next planet saving projects will be: to begin to recycle my weekend newspapers, attach a water saving adapter to my toilet bowls, and research more environmentally friendly household products that are safe to use around a toddler.

What we don’t want to happen is for people to wait until it’s “too late” in changing their behaviors and lifestyles. Just look what happened when we were not mindful of spending too much money…….RECESSION!!

I encourage everyone who reads this blog to find at least three things that they can consistently change in their life to make our world a cleaner and safer place to live and thrive.
