Fear, Faith, and Focus!

It is impossible to live with both Fear and Faith because Faith is the anecdote to Fear.  This is not to say that we as Christians will never have doubt. But when that doubt arises is when our Faith should rise far above it.

Our Faith should be stronger and bigger than our Fear.  How BIG is your Faith? Or a better question is how BIG is your GOD?  Is your Fear bigger than your God or vice-versa?!  This shouldn’t be a hard question to answer but sometimes when don’t think about it in those terms.

It’s all about where we put our Focus.  We MUST Focus on God’s Word at all times and particularly during times when we are weak and have Fear/doubt.  There will always be something that may cause us to fear in this life. But that is to be expected.  This is not our ultimate home. I look at it as my learning/testing ground.  I am supposed to be challenged in this life.  These challenges are present to keep me focused and make me stronger.

Everyone faces challenges, Fear, doubt and weaknesses.  So, if we know that this is what “this” life consists of…why do we want to “judge” individuals? No one is perfect and no situation is perfect. We are all here to learn to be Christ-like….not Christ!  And it is a hour to hour and day to day process.  And one day, if we continue to be vigilant and Focused, it will become second nature to us.

My God is bigger than any obstacle that may be put in my way.  I will not fear because I believe that my God will provide and protect me.  My God will bless me with the things that I need and want in HIS own time which in turn will be the BEST time for me.

We should remember that fear is just a feeling and it is not from God. The bible stays that God has not given us the spirit of fear(2 Tim 1:7). But this does not mean we will not feel fearful at times. We must not allow that feeling to fear to paralize us and dominate our decisions. Hebrews 10:38 says that we must not draw back in fear, but live by faith. God desires that we have faith even when we feel fearful. We must do that which we fear despite the fear we feel. Fight fear with FAITH using the Word of God.
