My Day In 30 Minutes!

by Kathy Sykes on September 2, 2009 · 3 comments

Tonight I go back to working the night shift, so I pretty much have thirty minutes to do everything that needs to be done for the day. Why thirty minutes, because even though I slept last night, I need to get extra so that I can stay up all night long.

So this is how it goes:

1. Get up at 10:30am

2. Strip the bedding and start the wash

3. Empty Thomas’ laundry hamper and prepare to wash it

4. Find two more days worth of clothes for Thomas, and iron them to be ready for Daddy to dress him Thurs and Fri for daycare

5. Pick up miscellaneous toys around the house before babysitter (Dad has to teach Bible Study at the church tonight) gets here because they will be back on the floor once she gets here (why do I do this part?!)

6. Vaccum

7. Oh, I forgot..fold and put away clothes that are already in the dryer

8. Eat Lunch/blog

After my thirty minute day is complete

9. Then go back to sleep (that’s why bedding has to be done or I can get back in bed…or could I?) before I have to pick up Thomas from Daycare and place him in the arms of the sitter

10. Then BACK BACK to sleep until time to go to work.

Yes, it can be done…..Gotta go!!!! If you have days like this, please leave a comment on how you get it all done?

Wow sounds super hectic. Good luck with that!

Working and being a mom make it impossible to catch up with the chores! I just do the best I can and try to spend as much time with my kids as I can! They grow up way too fast. I would rather have time with them than have an immaculate house (like that is even possible!). My problem is that I end up staying up WAY too late to try to get things accomplished and then being so tired the next day. There just need to be a few more hours in the day! 🙂
