Montessori Parent Interview!

We are FINALLY done with our two year olds school admissions process. I tell you, I would have never guessed that it would be this intense to get a two year old admitted to a school.

We went to a 45 minute interview with the school’s admissions director and she pretty much asked everything from “where were you born?” to “what was the level on your last cholesterol check?” (BTW, I go to get my follow-up results next Monday).

The interview was basically to get to know us on a more intimate level than just reading our superficial details on the application form. Thomas went also so that he could be observed in their classroom settings and for him to see what it was all about.

The board will now be meeting to discuss his applications acceptance and then he is “in”…but not until a space opens up. But the good news is that he is at the top of the waiting list.

Now, we are just waiting for Thomas’ former daycare to be reopened and for him to get back to his friends until it is time to move on. We have had a great experience with all of the people that we have entrusted to care for our son.
