The Beauty Of Children’s Consignment!

I have fallen in love with consignment sales! Why? Because after about a year of sending my son to daycare in the brand new, nice clothes that I purchased at the mall and him coming home with spaghetti sauce stains or bleach on them, it only made sense to go consignment.

What is fabulous about consignment is that the clothes are gently used or brand new. AND you purchase them for 50-75% of the retail price. You can stock up for the whole summer in one shopping trip at a consignment sale. What can you buy there? Shirts for 0.50 cents, pants for $2.00 dollars, whole outfits for $5.00 and ALL in great condition and even brand name items. You can find clothes strictly for daycare or outdoor play, clothes for church, and your casual everyday clothes all for under $50.00 if you know how to shop. And this is for the WHOLE season.

I am so excited to be going to my 3rd consignment sale this Sunday at Camp Jordan Arena in Chattanooga. Not only do they have clothes, but they have great kid’s furniture (if you are wanting to set up a homeschool in your house), shoes, books and DVDs, costumes, and all kinds of toys and kids knick-knacks.  I get a rush just walking through the door. I can’t wait to get great clothes and even greater prices.

AND if that was not enough, if you wanted to become a consigner, you could make your money back by putting your gently used items up for sale. What a great way to get extra money for something special that you want to do during the year.

This year I will be doing a consignment tweet for all of the great items that I find. So, look for my mega savings tweets to come next  this Sunday and Monday (hashtag #campj).

Do you shop consignment? What are some of the great deals that you have gotten by going consignment? Please share!

As a child, I grew up shopping at consignment shops/stores, resale shops… Goodwill, and Salvation Army Stores! There are so many treasures that could be found in these stores (Another man’s junk is another man’s treasure!) Thanks for this GREAT Post Sweetie! Love ya’… and thanks for doing a GREAT JOB in taking care of “Teedie Beedie”, Love Ya!
