When the school year begins, it is a very busy and sometimes stressful time trying to coordinate drop off and pick-up, after school activities, work, and family time.
Our son is beginning Pre-K this fall and will be on the same schedule as the other schools in the district. This means that we will not have the luxury of daycare hours and will have to find care during times when the school is closed for breaks and inclement weather.
With my husband being a full-time pastor and working a part-time job and my full-time job (that alternates between day and evening shifts), this was going to present a scheduling conflict. By the grace of God, we were able to make the decision for hubby to leave his part-time job and be available when/if needed AND be able to put in more time in growing the church.
I am a firm believer in using a family wall calendar to keep up with everyone’s schedule. Right now, we are using the Sandra Boynton Mom calendar. I have been using this type of calendar for two years and we have all family members listed, as well as, the babysitter and doggie’s schedule.
This year I will also begin printing off an electronic daily schedule to help my husband with all of his “additional” church and school meeting/activities. I am excited about introducing hubby to a “schedule” because now we can actually know who is doing what and when!!!
How do you keep track of everyone’s schedule during the school year?
