The mornings here in Tennessee have been very cool and wonderful. The cool breeze inspired me to “run” this morning instead of going to yoga class. First and foremost, I am not a runner. Why I thought I could get out there and run on a whim is beyond me….but I did it.

Five miles to be exact. Half walking and half running. My whole body began sweating immediately and I didn’t have any pockets so my phone (that I had tucked in my yoga pants) kept sliding down my leg. But I didn’t give up.

I was able to pull energy from any worries or stress that I have and put it all toward making the final laps. And I didn’t want to look like a quitter in front of all the “real” runners at the YMCA.

Will I be running again? Probably not. Sometimes when the inspiration hits you, you just have to go with it. That is what life is made of and why it is worth living!
