River City Pottery!

Thomas was invited to a birthday party by one of his Pre-K classmates at River City Pottery. This was our first time there and it really was a pleasure and an alternative to the traditional birthday party.

The parties at River City Pottery allow the children to choose their own pottery to paint which range from a wide selection of vases, animals, people, etc. Thomas chose an alligator to paint.

Then they paint their pottery with three coats so that it will have a magnificent color. This activity is great for hand/eye coordination and painting skill. Ironically, Thomas and his dad had been painting several pictures on a canvas earlier in the week, so he was really taking the painting seriously.

For birthday parties you are also able to bring in your own food and desserts for your group.

While the party was going on, I ventured to the other side of the studio to see what else was going on. I was surprised to see individuals, mother/daughters, and seniors enjoying painting pottery together. It is definitely a place for young and old to celebrate their creativity.

I am also proud to announce that River City Pottery is my local feature of the month.

Yes, K. Rock I am always looking for cool alternatives to the regular birthday party. My fav are educational parties that are fun at the same time.
