Last month our family finally made the decision to put our dog up for adoption. Millicent, had been with me for twelve years but with her increased age, her body was beginning to deteriorate. She wasn’t in “bad” shape, but she needed more consistent attention than our work schedule would be able to provide.
Millicent suffered from Cushing’s Disease which caused her to pant, want water, and urinate very often. We were having to take her outside on an every 2 hour basis (even throughout the night). Millicent needed a home where someone was there all of the time and could give her the attention she needed…someone like a senior.
I was unable to take Millicent to the adoption center due to my emotional attachment, but I knew that it needed to be done. My hubby had the task of taking her and filling out the paper work. Unfortunately, the center will not let us know when she gets adopted but I know that anyone would be lucky to have her.
We love you Millicent and hope that you are happy with your new family!
