Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN)!

I spent the majority of my New Year’s Day watching the sneek peeks and new episodes on the OWN Network. Yes, this is Oprah Winfrey’s newest venture that brings us purpose-filled programming.

Why is this network important? Have you ever sat in front of your television and said either of these two statements:

“Is this all that is on T.V.? or “I can’t believe they would show that on television”?

Well, the Oprah Winfrey Network is designed to create programs that bring the joy back into watching television (especially with your family).  This weekend I watched three great programs:

1. Oprah Presents Master Class—featuring Jay-Z

2. Searching For…….

3. Kidnapped by the Kids

What was the take away message for me from these shows?

1. Everyone has a story and everyone has the opportunity to succeed

2. Family is so important

3. Do not neglect “time spent” with your family. The impact can be detrimental.

Find the Oprah Winfrey Network in your local listings and watch it for yourself. I believe that OWN will give ABC, CBS, and NBC a run for their money!

I too looked at Master Class featuring Jay-Z. Loved it and am looking forward to future Master Class offerings. Expecially loved the black and white.
