This is the last week of Pre-K3 for my baby boy who will be going to camp in the summer and readying himself for Pre-K4. Where did the time go? He won’t be my baby boy much longer, in fact, he is already asking when will he start kindergarten. Man……slow down already!!!
We are so excited to have the summer off to just enjoy playing, laughing, and living life as a family because that’s really what it’s all about. Will I keep up his learning habits during the summer? Yes, I will but it will be in a much more FUN way. I will go back and reinforce all that he learned but try and make it relate to outdoor activities and play.
Kids need to learn how to PLAY again too. About three weeks ago when we were without electricity for 5 days, we really had to go back “old school” and learn how to PLAY. I have to say that it was really fun and every kid needs to know how to play checkers, dominoes, hop scotch, jump rope, etc. There are not enough batteries in the world to keep all electronics working when you are without electricity for a week. And who has that type of money? Just learn how to PLAY again.
This summer my challenge to myself and to you is to PLAY as much as possible!!!!
