A few months ago, I had racked my brain and did a google search on what I should do with my old magazines. I hated to just throw them in the trash and I did consider just offering them to other people for reading enjoyment.
But today I went to visit my dad in the assistant living facility and remembered that they have a library. I went in to visit and checked to see what kind of magazines were housed there. They did have a few popular magazines and many of them were back dated. So, this is what I am going to do with my old copies of Architectural Digest and Real Simple. Not only can the residence use them, but the staff and visitors are sure to enjoy them.
What a great way to give back to the community. Before you decide to throw something in the trash, think of more useful and creative ways to re-invent that item.
