Meditation Monday!

What are some of the ways that you receive comfort from the Lord? How do you stay focused? The past few weeks have been particularly trying weeks for me and I have been really seeking peace for my spirit. Being a blogger, we have opportunities to try out or review different products from companies. This week, I was chosen to review My Comfort Cross.

This is an individually carved piece of grained olive wood from the olive trees around Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. The Comfort Cross is designed to fit comfortably into the palm of your hand as an aid to prayer or meditation. It is ideal as your spiritual companion for easing children’s fears, comforting worries and stresses or adults and focusing the prayer of the sick and elderly.

When I received the cross in the mail, my initial thought was to give it to someone else to have them let me know how it worked out for them. But as busy moms and women, we “most of the time” forget about ourselves. So I decided to keep it in hopes that it would “keep me” in line with the Word of God.

I kept my Comfort Cross in my car because that is where all of my thoughts and stresses begin to rise up. Since it fits right in the palm of your hand, I could hold it and squeeze it anytime I needed that extra boost of faith and courage from the Lord.

You will find at the Comfort Cross website that each craftsman receives a fair price to support their family and the Christian community for the sale of the crosses. Bulk purchases of the crosses can be a great fund-raiser for your church or faith based organization OR you can purchase several just as an individual who wants to encourage friends and family.

I am thankful to God for allowing me this blogging opportunity because you never know how the Lord will use your blog and your life.
