OpenSky! Get Shopping Recommendations From Celebrities And Experts!

If you are not familiar with OpenSky yet, you should be. I met a representative from OpenSky at the 2011 Blogalicious Conference in Washington, D.C. and she introduced me to the concept of personalizing my shopping through recommendations from experts and celebrities. I received a shirt from the company that sums up the concept of your experience:

“It takes all kinds…Design where you shop”

So basically this is how it works:

1. First you sign up with OpenSky

2. You will be shown many different topics that may appeal to you such as: fashion, food, home design, fitness and there may or may not be a celebrity associated with that topic that you are familiar with such as: Padma Lakshmi from Top Chef, Jackie Warner celebrity fitness expert, or Veronica Webb model and businesswoman. So you click on the topics that you are interested in.

3. Then you get recommendations of items that may interest you immediately and on a daily basis. This is when you get the opportunity to browse and shop.

4. And the best part about it is that the fashions and styles that the celebrities wear, you can purchase at a lower price through OpenSky. Most of the discounts range from 10%-60% off original price.

For a more detailed description about how OpenSky works, just click on this link.

Of course, before I recommend this site to my readers, I had to try it out myself. After I sign up for the first time, I automatically received a $10 shopping credit…JUST FOR SIGNING UP! Then I made my selections and here are some of the recommendations that have been sent to me on a daily basis:

From Carolyn Murphy (model/actress)–a recipe for her Mom’s salsa using pickles, Kimchi, and BBQ marinade. Everyone knows how much I love salsas and pico de gallo!

Wynonna Judd (singer)–Hoodies

Kristin Cavallari (reality star/actress)–22K Gold Leaf Earrings

Kevia Earrings

Kathy Freston (actress)–Over the knee boots

boots

And my favorite video from OrgJunkie–Organize kids toys in 15 seconds

I think the site has a great concept and the shopping is brought right to you in the comfort of your own home. What better time than now (leading up to Christmas) to try out OpenSky.

My readers can click on this link, osky.co/blogger2011, to sign up for OpenSky and get YOUR $10 shopping credit to get started.

If you sign up, let me know and Happy Shopping!
