Advent Calendar-Kids Craft!

Of course, this is the season of Advent and many bloggers are talking about how you can incorporate an Advent calendar into your home. While I was online visiting The Chatty Momma, she talked about how she found a great $1 dollar Advent calendar at Target. So, my son and I went out to see if we could find one too. And we did!

Here is what we did with our Advent calendar:

This is our $1 dollar Advent calendar from Target! It is a Christmas tree that is numbered from one to twenty-five with ornaments. Each ornament has a pocket or slot where something can be placed.

My son and I decided to use colored Post-It notes and write Christmas/Advent terms on each note.

Then my son put each Post-It note in each slot on the Advent calendar.

This is what it looked like once he finished. The colored Post-It notes made the tree more festive.

We placed it on his bedroom door so that each day we can pull out a Post-It note and discuss the term on the note and how it relates to Advent.

Thanks to The Chatty Momma for the great idea and if you have other Advent crafts, please share them here.
