What We Have Been Studying During Winter Break-Preschooler!

by Kathy Sykes on January 10, 2012 · 0 comments

Even though it was Winter Break, Thomas and I still found fun ways to continue the learning process while school was out. Surprisingly, we got the help of our babysitter’s neighbor to aid in this process. She so kindly gave Thomas three preschool learning books because she recognized that he loves to learn.

The two books were: Look What I Can Do! Dot to Dot preschool activity book and Counting With The Count-Sesame Street

We were able to spend time on number recognition, writing numbers, and sequence of numbers.

The third book may look like an ordinary coloring book but it has much more to offer.

There were counting pages

Thomas is also in the beginning phases of reading and he received two new Tag Jr. books from Santa.

I am so proud of his efforts. Even though he doesn’t know the words, he is able to recognize the letters and apply them to the appropriate sound. The word may not be right, but he is very close.

How did you keep your child engaged during Winter Break?
