Learning To Read With Dr. Seuss!

by Kathy Sykes on March 21, 2012 · 2 comments

I am so excited that my 4 year old son is in the beginning stages of reading. It is so amazing to see him excel in his learning process. He is really proud of himself for taking the steps to begin to sound out letters to make a word. I could cry really because it is just too cute and amazing.

The book we have been learning to read with is “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss and ironically the month of March is celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday (no sponsored post here).  I have been coaching him along in this process (like all good mommies do) but he is getting really good at it on his own.

I have purchased other beginner reading books and we will use those too to see if any of them are better than the others for learning. Of course, I will be sharing all of this with you.
