Meditation Monday! Fashion And Being Yourself!

Since becoming a minister’s wife, I have had a challenge with my fashion sense. Pastor’s wives are looked at as modest, of Christian character, and (sometimes) low key. I can agree with that concept if we are truly wanting to let Christ’s light shine through us and to not make anything “all about us”.

But I like to look good and I love fashion. Everyone must find the right balance of fashion “appropriateness” for themselves.

Now that it is Spring and it is getting warmer, I tend to wear less. No, I don’t go around half naked…but I am not going to be covered from head to toe either. If you have seen any pictures of myself here on this blog, you know that I am pretty much a mix between preppy and conservative.

As part of my Spring cleaning blog series, I said that I would share with you what I purchased during my fashion REFRESH shopping spree not so long ago.

I call this my Pretty Woman or Michelle Obama look

Brown capri pants and a colorful top

A POP of color with green

Cute denim dress with a cool and colorful top

Oh, I did make one more stop for the all important bath time!!!!

I did purchase a couple of casual spring/summer dresses and linen pants which you will be seeing later “modeled” here on the blog.

If you are a minister’s wife, what are your thoughts on fashion?
