The above is a picture of my DADDY! He is counting the money (that fell out of the card) he received for his 75th birthday this year.

I have fond memories of my DADDY growing up but mainly what I remember the most about him is that he loved to dance, sing Al Green songs, and crack jokes. Now that he has Alzheimer’s we don’t get to see that side of him much. He still is pretty funny. Our family always had the tradition of putting dollar bills inside the cards that we gave for special occasions so that they would spill out onto the floor when opened. We still do that.

Father’s Day is fast approaching and if you haven’t thought of what kind of card to purchase I always love recommending personalized greeting cards with special family photos on them. A great site to get personalized cards made just in time for Father’s Day is called Treat.

They have cards for Dads, granddads, African-American, from kids, from adults, humor, etc. You can pretty much find any type card you are looking for here on this site. I saw a card on the site that was to “My Papa Bear”. That was the name they called my husband’s father who passed away just last year. I was suprised to see it and it made me smile.

Take a look around the site here and see if you find anything that brings back fond memories for you and your family. It’s worth browsing.

If you really love what you see, be sure to follow TREAT on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google +.

I also have a GIVEAWAY for ten (10) TREAT tokens that are good for the purchase of ten (10) personalized greeting cards. All you have to do to enter is tell me what “term” you use for your father (i.e. daddy, pop, father, dad, etc).

For additional entries follow me on Facebook (1 entry), Twitter (1 entry) and Pinterest (1 entry) and leave a comment for each telling me you did so.

The contest begins today and will end at 2359 on June 2nd (one week). This will give us enough to choose a winner and report back so that you can get your Father’s Day cards created in time. Once a winner is chosen, they have 48 hours to respond via email. If no response, then another entry will be chosen.

Happy Father’s Day!
