Finding It Hard To Find Quiet Time With God? 3 Easy Steps

People always say that either each morning or each night, you should spend at least ten minutes meditating, praying, or spending time in the Word getting in touch with God. But are these the best times of the day for you?

Here are 3 steps that I use to “get in” that needed time with the Father:

1. Keep your Bible in the car. I do this for two reasons. I can never seem to find it on Wednesday nights or Sunday mornings when rushing out of the door with my 5 year old. So just keeping it in the car is the easiest for me. Also, I always get to work about 15 minutes early, so I have extra time to flip through scriptures I need.

2. Keep your Sunday School book in the bathroom. This may be “TMI” but women spend a lot of time in the bathroom whether it’s for long showers or baths or just any other thing that you may need to do. I can read my upcoming Sunday School lesson and all of the related scripture readings while relaxing.

3. Keep your church program from each Sunday. Ours usually has the sermon topic with scripture and explanation of that scripture. It is a good way to reflect on the topic and how you can implement it into your everyday living.
