A Delicious Birthday Gift!

Last week I celebrated my birthday and one of the amazing gifts that I received from my sister was a week’s worth of dinners delivered to my home. Amazing, huh?

That is not even the best part. The dinners are prepared by one of my besties who has her own cooking class/catering business here in Chattanooga called Cooking Live.

What they came up with was a menu called Around The World in 7 Dinners.

I have decided to get my dinners delivered once per week on Mondays so that let’s us have a catered dinner for 7 weeks. Here is what we are to expect each week:

Week One: New York City (we already got this one….see pics below)
Mile high pastrami sandwich with homemade potato salad, marinated cucumber tomato salad, and a kosher dill pickle spear with New York Cheesecake for dessert.

Week Two: England
A twist on Fish and Chips. Panko crusted white fish filet served on toasted roll with homemade tarter sauce. Serves with oven roasted potatoes and steamed peas. Bread pudding with vanilla cream sauce for dessert.

Week Three: Italy
2 meat/3 cheese Lasagna Roll Ups with crisp side salad and crusty bread and dipping oil. Italian Cream Cupcakes for dessert

Week Four: India
Chicken Curry with Basmati Rice~ a creamy curried poached chicken with vegetables served over long grain basmati rice. Mango Cobbler with toasted coconut crunch for dessert.

Week Five: Australia
Shrimp on the Barbie~grilled shrimp skewers served with loaded baked potato and grilled vegetables. Grilled Pound Cake with lemon curd and strawberries for dessert.

Week Six: Jamaica
Sweet Chili Pork Tenderloin served with black beans and yellow rice. Coconut ice cream for dessert.

Week Seven: Southeast Tennessee (Back home)
Pulled pork BBQ sliders served with roasted corn slaw and baked beans. Classic banana pudding for dessert.

And it that is not enough, my bestie threw in 5 frozed slow cooker meals for me to pull out and pop in the slow cooker during the week: Mexican beef stew, Korean BBQ pork, Chicken and dressing, Argentine cowboy stew and Burgundy beef tips.

How terrific is that? The meals are enough for my whole family plus leftovers. Also, if it could get any more amazing…I get to teach my son about different countries that we are having our dinner inspired from.
