How does the changing of the leaves, the start of cool weather, and pulling out the fall clothes make you feel? There is a definite “feeling” that comes over people when Summer ends and Fall makes its appearance.
For me, I get that cozy feeling. The kind of cozy that comes with plush sweaters, down comforters, crock pot cooking, and blankets on the laps at football games. I also associate it with hot cocoa, crackling fireplace, thermal pajamas and the burning of a pumpkin or vanilla candle.
Fall is when animals begin to prepare for hybernation so that they can “stay inside with their families” during the Winter. Who likes to get out in the cold weather? Not me. That is why I also stock up on pantry items and break out the ole slow cooker cookbook so that when I get off work, I quickly drive home to “stay inside with my family”. The Summer brings a lot of activities from sunrise to sunset. But Fall brings getting out of bed slowly and getting home early.
Fall is my favorite time of year.
