Our son received his first belt in Tae Kwon Do last week and it was really an exciting moment. Not only is it his first step in training but it is also his beginning journey to discipline.
We are blessed to have his teacher, Mr. Hanner, teach all of the student the importance of discipline, courtesy, and focus in their lives. This is the main premise of Tae Kwon Do. It is not to go out and hurt someone with your skills, but to preserve justice and learn how to control your own temper and behavior.
Mr. Hanner makes sure that all of the students understand these principles. Also, another great lesson that I hear him teach the students is that correction (or being corrected) is a great thing. It means that you are always learning to be better. Do not get an attitude if someone corrects you. They are doing it for your own good. I LOVE THIS!
Here are more pictures of his class………..
We are blessed to have Mr. Hanner and his Tae Kwon Do class participate in the growth of our son physically and of his character.
