How To Be The Perfect Holiday Party Guest!

Here are a few DO’s for attending holiday parties this season:

1. Always RSVP. Be considerate and let your host(ess) know if you will be attending the party. Lots of time and money go into planning events and it is best to have a head count of who will be present.

2. Be on time. For holiday parties, the host is usually running around trying to make sure everything is in place for the event. Showing up too early and late throws a monkey wrench in the planning process. Never be more than 30 minutes late to a party.

3. Bring a host(ess) gift. This is just to show appreciation for all of the hard work put into planning the party and a “thank you” for the invitation. Host gifts are never expected but are a nice surprise.

4. If the party is at someone’s home, be considerate of their personal space. Use coasters, wait to be shown  the house (never roam around), offer to help with serving and/or cleaning up.

5. If there is a time period set for the party, never linger around past time. The host(ess) would like to clean up and get to bed at a reasonable time but never wants to throw anyone out. Know when it is time to leave.
