I thought my readers would be interested in participating in a little challenge via Real Simple. Each month, organizing guru, Chip Cordelli, will give us tips on how to keep our homes organized and help us to live more efficiently.
You can sign up for the challenge at realsimple.com/organizing to receive reminders, checklists, etc to keep you on the straight and narrow. You can also share what you have done with the tips you get from Chip with the folks at Real Simple.
This month, Chip is giving us tips on how to organize the “beast”….KITCHEN!! I love his tips to keep things at a minimum.
His tip for the picture above is that minimally stock cupboards offer easy access and peace of mind. Since I have glass front cabinets, this is a must for me. With my family of three, we really just need that much dinnerware plus maybe an additional two sets for extended family that stops by. I will keep a complete set of formal dinnerware for those special occasions.
I love the organization of this cupboard because I can honestly tell you that I have too many canned goods and a “hodge podge” of spices that need organizing. The spinning rack would be perfect for the spices I use, and the see through canisters for beans, pasta and rice are a must.
Next month, Chip will be giving us advice on how to keep the medicine cabinet organized.
